The Bilborough Project was a comprehensive main-floor renovation that reworked the kitchen, dining room, living room, and family room into a cohesive, highly considered living environment. In the dining room, subtle fluted paneling adds texture while refreshed original furniture maintains continuity and longevity — an important part of our sustainability approach. Reclaimed quartzite countertops salvaged from another renovation were thoughtfully integrated, allowing beautiful materials to continue their lifecycle while adding depth and character to the space.
The living room introduces controlled colour-blocking to add personality without overwhelming the architecture, while the family room incorporates carefully placed paint details that enhance visual interest while preserving openness. The existing fireplace was modernized rather than replaced, paired with a refined mantle and an updated recessed television area for improved proportion and usability. The result is a renovation grounded in thoughtful design decisions, practical planning, and materials chosen to age gracefully over time.
